WBR facility
Overland, Missouri is home to Wild Bird Rehabilitation, Inc.

WBR clinic servies
Wild Bird Rehabilitation accepts injured or abandoned songbirds throughout the year.

Eagle Scout Provides Flight Cage
Eagle Scout Ryan Holstad recently deconstructed Wild Bird Rehab's rehabilitation flight cage from Whitecliff Park in Crestwood and reconstructed it behind the Center across from the new flight cage. Having the flight cage close to the Center helps us monitor the birds' progress and insure volunteer coverage for the care of our recovering birds. This procedure included replacing rotten wood, reinforcing posts and rescreening.

Ryan and his crew, which often included his parents and other Eagle Scouts, spent more than 100 man hours on this project.  We appreciate Ryan's attention to detail and care involved in getting this just right for our birds.  The results are spectacular.

Eagle Scouts donate time to initiate, plan and complete a service project for a charity as part of mastering scouting requirements.

WBR volunteer outreach
Wild Bird Rehabilitation, Inc. works with over 100 volunteers from the St. Louis community. Volunteers play a vital role in the education of the public and the day-to-day operations of the rehabilitation facility.

In November of 2004, WBR purchased our very own building in Overland MO. After a bit of renovation,
WBR moved into the new facility at 9624 Midland Blvd., Overland MO 63114. In addition to the housing the birds,  the new facility also is utilized for volunteer orientation,  training and board meetings.

VOLUNTEER OUTREACH
The volunteers at Wild Bird Rehabilitation dedicate over 10,000 hours a year working to care for injured and orphaned birds.

From May to August, 200 birds a day are fed (many every 15 minutes) and their cages are cleaned.

Many hours are spent preparing various diets, washing dishes, and admitting new patients.

Construction and volunteer projects at Wild Bird Rehabilitation are an excellent opportunity for Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who need a community service project.

You can help WBR meet the needs of songbirds and other small birds that live with us and bring us such joy.

For more information regarding volunteer opportunities please send an email to volunteer@wildbirdrehab.org. Or for a current schedule of volunteer orientations, please click the Calendar link or send an email to calendar@wildbirdrehab.org
