My name is Michael Hayes and I am a member of Boy Scout Troop 751 from St. Joseph's Parish in Manchester, MO. Over the past autumn, many volunteers and I rebuilt one of Wild Bird Rehabilitation's aviaries as part of my Eagle Scout project.
We had to tear out most of the aviary so that we could reconstruct the roof and siding. We also had to rebuilt the door and replace the interior screening. It took many weekends, but we are finally finished and the aviary is ready for its new inhabitants.
Many thanks to all who helped with many different aspects of the project: Mike and Robert Abels, Alex Way, Matthew, Ann and Bob Hayes, Shawn McIver.
Many thanks for all your help! Special thanks to the Baumer family, who financially supported the project.
